South Korea is looking cautiously at resuming face to face diplomacy with other countries.
Seoul's Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Kim Gunn, is leaving for the United Arab Emirates this weekend to discuss bilateral cooperation and setting up a fast-track entry system for business people from both countries.
The UAE is the first country to which South Korea exported COVID-19 test kits.
This is the first time a senior South Korean diplomat has gone abroad since COVID-19 became a global pandemic.
Kim's team will be tested for the virus before they leave South Korea and after they arrive in the UAE and will strictly abide by quarantine measures.
