South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun says there will be zero tolerance for people breaking the rules on self-isolation.
In a pan-governmental meeting Thursday, Chung said that some arrivals from Europe and the U.S. have not been sticking to the two-week self-isolation guidelines.
He added the government should file complaints against violators. and foreigners who violate the guidelines should be deported.
Calling self-isolation a "mandatory" legal action, the prime minister called on local governments to closely monitor self-isolating people with the location tracking system.
Because of a spike in imported cases of COVID-19, South Korea has imposed stricter quarantine measures and two weeks of self-isolation for ALL arrivals from Europe and the U.S.
