The International Labor Organization forecasts the total number of unemployed people in the world will increase slightly this year.
In an annual report published on Monday, the organization estimated there will be about 1-hundred-90 million people unemployed globally, up two million from last year.
Last year's global unemployment rate of 5.4 percent, however, is expected to stay the same before ticking up next year to 5.5 percent.
Although the unemployment rate has been stabilizing for the past nine years, the report said not enough jobs are being created.
