At least 25 police officers have been injured in Memphis after demonstrators in the city threw bricks at police during a protest over the death of an African-American man.
The turmoil broke out Wednesday as U.S. marshals shot and killed 20-year-old Brandon Webber, who was wanted on multiple charges.
He was shot dead as he got into a vehicle.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Webber "rammed his vehicle into the officers' vehicles multiple times before exiting with a weapon."
As news of his death spread, protestors destroyed a concrete wall outside a business and smashed the windows of squad cars and a fire station.
