”New normal“ has emerged as a new framework for the post-COVID-19 world. Advanced ICT skills have been actively introduced to prevent the COVID-19 spread. And significant changes have also taken place in the medical sector. The rise of non-face-to-face medical treatment is one of the examples. Instead of developing new technologies, non-face-to-face medical treatment has been introduced by transforming and recombining the existing technologies. A domestic university hospital has introduced a remote monitoring technology. And it has contributed to treating a lot of quarantined patients as well as confirmed COVID-19 cases. It can minimize the secondary infection of medical staffs. Also, patients can receive rapid treatments in case of emergency situations. An AI technology, which can sort out the potentially infected cases by using CT scans, has been developed in the domestic field. The signs of the virus can be detected immediately. And the patients can be classified according to different level of severity. We introduce advanced ICT skills of Korea which have led the innovative changes taking place in the medical industry.

Aside from the indoor game, it has been applied to different tourist attractions throughout the country. And it has enjoyed positive responses from the tourism industry. Technologies that can sterilize and purify the surrounding environment have garnered a lot of attention amid the post-COVID-19 era. Real-time sterilization of daily necessities or purification of polluted water into drinking water are the examples. A lot of researches have been carried out on water purification equipment, which has applied a capacitive deionization technology. It is a process of removing foreign substances by applying electric stimulation to saline water and separating anions and ions. The newly developed facilities are built based on the cassette-type water purification system. Also, it can be moved conveniently thanks to the compact size. Moreover, there is a technology that can check the pollution level of water without using electricity. The kit was developed based on the idea that the appropriate incubation temperature of E. coli, which is the main cause of water pollution, is similar to body temperature. The technology was transferred from Korea Water Resources Corporation. And when absorbing water with a tube that contains a diagnostic reagent and attaching the tube to the body, it is possible to check the pollution level 24 hours later through the color of water. Tumblers have gained popularity as a portable item, but when drinking directly from the bottle, it can be led to the propagation of bacteria. The embedded LED UV sterilizer can sterilize inside the tumbler and water based on a simple method. What is more, UV-C wavelength, which can only destroy the DNA of germs, has also garnered a lot of attention.
