As a result, a variety of non-contact services have been promoted and it has led to the rise of autonomous robots. A domestic company has developed an antonomous serving robot. It was first introduced to the restaurant in the U.S. and it has been provided to the domestic restaurants as well. The robot doesn’t have arms and it is to reduce congestion inside the restaurant. And it can serve food safely by using a LiDAR sensor and a 3D camera. Robots can replace difficult or dangerous works of humans. Instead of simply replacing physical labor, the autonomous service robot has enhanced intellectual capabilities that can recognize objects as well as make decisions. The robot can provide a variety of services including the translation into four different languages and escort service in indoor spaces. Delivery robots have garnered a lot of attention along with the expanding culture of food delivery. An autonomous delivery robot which drives sidewalks instead of roadways has been developed and it can be found in several districts in Seoul. We introduce autonomous robots which have provided diversified services based on the improved thinking and judging abilities as well as emerged as a key technology that can deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.
