It is smaller in size and it can produce hydrogen under high pressure, so the moisture can be removed. As highly efficient and high-purity hydrogen can be obtained from the production stage, it can save additional cost necessary for hydrogen production. A domestic business has developed Commercial Steam Methane Reformer for Hydrogen Refueling Station, which can extract hydrogen and provide it to vehicles immediately in real time. Commercial hydrogen generator can produce about 250-500 kilograms of hydrogen within a day. What is more, it has commercialized a technology that can extract hydrogen from LNG, or Liquefied Natural Gas for the first time in the domestic field. After producing hydrogen with a water electrolysis technology, a membrane is necessary to separate water and hydrogen. In case of the existing membrane, hydrogen and oxygen can contact with each other through tiny holes. So there has been a possibility of explosion. And a domestic research team has developed a membrane separator which has decreased the size of micro-holes and maintained the voltage efficiency. We introduce low cost, highly efficient and eco-friendly hydrogen production technologies that are necessary to build a sustainable ecosystem for the hydrogen economy.
