National Institute of Horticultural Herbal Science has developed Smart Cooling Greenhouse. And a smart farming system was introduced to raise strawberries and roses. The growth and development of the crops have been improved in comparison to the general greenhouses. Smart Cooling Greenhouse is expected to lay a firm foundation for the stable supply of agricultural products and contribute to the development of the agricultural economy. KoKoMa cabbage, which is smaller than general cabbages, has been provided to the domestic supermarkets. It was developed by Gunsan Agricultural Technology Center. And in 2019, it received the grand prize at an evaluation meeting for newly developed technologies hosted by the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science. Also, it has been exported to Japan and Taiwan. Moreover, a traditional agricultural system preserved in Wanju for the cultivation of ginger, has been designated as an important agricultural heritage. Thanks to the heat in the tunnel, the temperature and humidity can be controlled even in cold winter. It is the only storage method in the world that was developed based on the Ondol, or Korean traditional floor heating system and it has been preserved in Wanju district for the past 600 years. Agriculture has emerged as an industry of the future, which can lead the national economic growth. We introduce sustainable agricultural technologies, which can enrich the domestic rural areas.

A domestic research team has continuously promoted researches to develop a compact and highly functional speaker. Bone conduction speaker has been applied to various items like glasses and hats. And it has contributed to the popularization of wearable devices that can increase the convenience in daily lives. Moreover, bone conduction technology has been applied to a lot of daily supplies. In the past, earphones or headsets were necessary to have communications while wearing a helmet, However, people can listen to music or make phone calls by attaching a bone conduction speaker to a helmet. It has obtained positive responses from consumers as it can be attached to any kind of helmet. Bone conduction technology can be a great hope for hearing-impaired people or people who can’t hear because of the damaged eardrum. Bone conduction earbuds is a device that can be attached to the cartilage around the ears and transmit sound through the vibrations of bones. Consumers have considered retail technology as a significant element when purchasing goods. Therefore, a lot of distribution businesses have heavily invested in the technologies to increase sales and secure more customers. There is a convenience store which has introduced an advanced retail technology. “Just Grab and Go“ technology, which enables consumers to simply pick stuffs and leave the store, has been applied. Moreover, a growing number of services have provided new experiences to consumers by making use of AR technologies. An AR-based new shopping platform was introduced and it is expected to bring about a paradigm shift to the shopping sector. An AR-based retail technology that enables consumers to arrange furniture or home appliance in advance before actually purchasing them has been newly introduced. Therefore, consumers can check detailed parts of the products even without actually visiting the store. And it is expected to increase the purchase rate of consumers who prefer online shopping. Also, at a university located in Seoul, robots deliver the products instead of human workforce. Along with Chatbot, which was developed to increase the convenience of consumers in the online distribution sector, a delivery robot was developed and introduced to the distribution field.
