Battery has emerged as a core technology that can lead the era of the fourth industrial revolution. The batteries of smartphone, tablet PC, laptop and electric vehicle mainly use lithium ion secondary battery. Therefore, development of related technologies is very important. Lithium ion secondary battery is also expected to grow as one of the Korea's core industries in the future, so a lot of related technologies have been developed. A lithium metal ion battery with doubled energy density was developed by Korea Institute of Science and Technology. And it can maintain over 80% of its initial performance even when repeating charging and discharging over 1,200 times. Adding an artificial solid-electrolyte interphase with a thickness of thousands of nanometers to the surface of lithium is the core of the lithium metal ion battery. When applying elastic electrodes to lithium ion secondary battery, the battery can maintain its property safely even when the length is increased by more than 30%. Moreover, a lithium ion secondary battery which can be charged rapidly has been developed. When installing the battery to the device, it can be charged rapidly and conveniently in about 3-10 minutes. By using an anode material of lithium ion secondary battery, it can be charged rapidly and used for a longer period of time. We introduce the outlook for the battery industry, which has expanded rapidly along with the rise of lithium ion secondary battery.
By collaborating with AI, or artificial intelligence technology, voice recognition technology has realized natural conversations, aside from simple questions or commands. Voice recognition used to be carried out based on the STT, or Speech-to-Text method, which transfers voices into text files before the analyzing process. However, STM, or Speech-to-Meaning method has been introduced. People tend to record the meetings or lectures which are continued for a long time. However, it takes a long time to check the recorded file and there are a lot of difficulties. Instead of simply recognizing voices, a technology that can reproduce the voices of renowned celebrities has also been developed. Voices of celebrities can be easily reproduced when implementing the technology. Moreover, an application which can analyze the crying sound of babies, who are less than 100 days old, has been developed. It can suggest proper reactions based on the data of 10 million crying sounds. We look into voice recognition technology, which increases convenience and boosts happiness in people’s daily lives by tackling the existing inconveniences.
Along with the growing interest in eco-friendly materials, significant changes have taken place in the field of furniture surface material. Most of the eco-friendly surface finishing materials used for the domestically produced furniture are provided by HYOSAN LPL & ICC. LPM, or Low Pressure Melamine Laminate as well as finishing foil are the main items provided by the company. LPM has enhanced durability in comparison with wood or steel materials. Therefore, it is generally used as a surface finishing material when producing furniture or carrying out interior construction. LPM used to be highly dependent on imports. However, the company has successfully produced LPM by developing its own technologies. Finishing foil is an upgraded version of LPM. As it can be applied to flat and curved surfaces, it is effective for creating three-dimensional effects.
