China vowed to retaliate after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to strip Hong Kong of its preferential trade status. But Washington’s move is already dealing a blow to the city’s international status. The New York Times said it will move its digital team of journalists from Hong Kong to Seoul next year, amid concerns of a possible exodus of businesses from the city once known as Asia’s financial hub.
