Our guest this week: Lee Young, Vice Minister of Education
The Ministry of Education has been spearheading a series of reforms as part of the Park Geun-hye administration's four major structural reform movement. To better deal with the slowing birth rate and an oversupply of universities, it has rolled out reforms for higher education, and following a successful trial run of its 'exam-free semester' program, it will implement the system nationwide next year. Regulatory reforms are also underway to ensure more people have access to continuing education.
This week, we sit down with Vice Minister of Education Lee Young to learn more about these reforms, and what the ministry has planned for 2016.
