South Jeolla Province, the Land of Green and Gateway to the Future
The recent global financial crisis has revealed many limitations to market triumphalism. Accordingly, there have been a number of discussions at the international level on new development models of capitalism. Against this backdrop, the Korean government is seeking alternatives to market triumphalism under the umbrella of "Shared Growth," emphasizing harmony between markets and governments, balance between growth and welfare, and construction of social economy. It is our sincere hope to provide invaluable opportunities to define the true meaning of shared growth in various aspects, and explore strategies and policies to make effective implementation. This important conference is organized by the Presidential Council for Future & Vision, and National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences of the Republic of Korea.
