Iran is a country blessed with world-class human capital and rich natural resources – number 2 in natural gas reserves and number 4 in oil reserves with a population of 80 million. This country had been isolated from the rest of the world for many decades until a nuclear agreement was reached in 2015. Along with its reentry in the global economy, Iranians are reaching out to the world, in hopes of achieving the target of 8% average annual growth over the next five years.
Based on trust and respect, Iran and South Korea have been maintaining a very tight friendship since establishing diplomatic relations in 1962. Now, that friendship is expanding into culture and economic exchanges, and soon these countries will lead the world as two of the greatest economic powers.
The second part articulates the success of one Korean manufacturing company in Iran with over 70% market share in the country as well as the vision of a medium-sized Korean company and their journey into the Iranian market. Also, it suggests new ways and strategies for Korean companies to differentiate themselves and enhance their brand image in the Middle Eastern country, ultimately for the two countries to grow together on the global stage.
