1. South Korea began its first step into the transition to the gradual ‘Living with COVID 19’ scheme on Monday. Social gatherings can be held up to 10 people in the greater Seoul area and up to 12 people in other areas, and business hours for facilities such as coffee shops and restaurants are allowed to run 24 hours.
2. President Moon Jae-in has arrived in the U.K. to attend the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference at Glasgow. He will be discussing resolutions to issues pertaining to climate change with about a hundred countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, and France.
3. As the new prime minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, declared victory for the Liberal Democratic Party by securing a majority of seats at the parliamentary election on Sunday. Experts say that the future of South Korea and Japan relationship will likely remain as status quo.
