1. South Korea reported 1-thousand-487 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, reaching close to 15-hundred even with fewer tests taken over the weekend.

2. South Korea’s government said Monday it will begin providing COVID-19 relief funds to the lower 88 percent of the income bracket beginning next Monday. The payouts of 250-thousand won per person will be given as vouchers or prepaid cards or through credit or debit cards.

3. President 문재인 said on Monday that in accordance with the advice of experts and the decision of the quarantine authorities, South Korea is planning to offer booster shots and expand vaccinations sequentially, starting with the elderly and high-risk groups.

8. According to the U.S. State department on Sunday, South Korea and about 100 other nations including the U.S. said in a joint statement that they are committed to ensuring that their citizens, employees, Afghans and others at risk will be able to travel freely from Afghanistan.
