1. On Friday, South Korea reported 525 new COVID-19 cases, with the number of new daily cases remaining in the 500s for a second consecutive day amid concerns of a potential upsurge in variant cases.

2. The government said that 11.5% of eligible senior citizens between the ages of 70 and 74 have made reservations for the COVID-19 vaccination program.

3. A second group of 204 passengers have returned to South Korea from virus-hit India on a flight operated by Asiana Airlines today, and they will be under quarantine at state facilities for 7 days.

4. During an interview in London, South Korean Foreign Minister 정의용 said he expects North Korea to get an explanation of the U.S. policy review results, which he sees to be "practical and realistic", as explained by Antony Blinken.
