1. The number of severely ill patients in South Korea stood at 1-thousand 84 on Friday, another fresh record high. 6-thousand and 2-hundred 33 were reported as new COVID-19 cases, which is down 6-hundred and 85 from yesterday.
2. KDCA announced today that it successfully developed a COVID-19 test kit that can detect the Omicron variant for the first time in the world. The PCR test can detect the Omicon variant in three to four hours.
3. The Moon administration decided to grant a special pardon to jailed former president Park Geun-hye on Friday. President Moon Jae-in said it’s aimed at promoting national unity and the country should not be stuck in the past but seek for the future. |
