1. The monetary policy board of the Bank of Korea on Thursday raised its key policy rates to manage inflation and household debt, raising the benchmark seven-day repo rate by 0.25 percentage point to 1 percent.
2. Prime minister Kim Boo-kyum on Thursday participated at the opening of the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting. The event was held as a two-day video conference, joined by 51 ASEM countries' heads and high-level representatives of states and governments of Asia and Europe.
3. South Korea on Thursday reported 3-thousand 9-hundred 38 new COVID-19 cases. The number of patients at critical conditions stands at 612, the highest figure since the start of the pandemic.
