Issue Now : Korean Red Cross for Ukraine Crisis
Nobody expected this to continue for about 6 months now, and I’m talking about the Russia-Ukraine war. The UNHCR said about 8.8 million people became refugees after being forced to leave Ukrainian soil as of July 5th. In May, Korea Now also talked about Korean Red Cross’s relief efforts at the refugee shelter, and once again they are taking the high road.
We have on the phone someone who’s out in Romania. His name is Lee Han Goo, manager at the Korean Red Cross, Field Coordinator for Ukraine Crisis, International Cooperation team.
