Pianist Ji is no longer a name that is unfamiliar in the classical music world. When he was 10 years old he became the youngest soloist for the New York Philharmonic. He signed with IMG as the youngest performer at the age of 11 and in 2008, after maturing as a pianist, he became a pianist for the Ensemble DITTO.

With his extravagant touch and energy he performs dynamic performances. All the more, thanks to his stylish and good looking face he has many fans. He looks very far from being a classical musician. Actually, he has tattoos, he wears earrings, bracelets and he has a lot of muscles, too.
Once he performed Bach’s Chaconne, he was topless and he danced, too. How unconventional! He sometimes makes his own videos to play at his concerts.

He’s been studying dancing, videography, singing, and composing.
He always wants to break convention and although he hasn’t really learned dance, singing or even jazz piano professionally, he just goes with the flow.
When he studied in the States, he even got the nickname “Evgeny Kissin Jr.”.

Pianist Ji has a couple of albums out.
He was part of Ensemble Ditto, so you can find his performance in most of Ensemble Ditto’s albums. In fact, he also performed at the Ditto Festival this year.
He has two studio albums out. They’re called Lisztomania and Bach Exhibition. He also has a digital single called Stop and Listen. In 2014 his most recent album is a live recording called Live Ji-Yong.
