Gwallyesik (관례식) refers to the traditional coming-of-age ceremony, and it was also called gyeresik (계례식).
When boys reached adulthood, they began wearing 갓, a Korean traditional hat made of bamboo and horsehair, and this tradition was called 관례.
On the other hand, during the coming-of-age ceremony for girls, they wore their hair up with a headpiece called 족두리 and they wore 비녀, an ornamental pin, in their hair. This was called 계례.
