"The task of the era includes national unity. I ask religious communities to play a greater role for the integration that can embrace ideologies, regions, and generations. The ultimate goal of the state affairs is national unity, and to reflect national interest and people's perspectives."
He added that the new government would do more to better look after the people's minds.
Yoon has created a presidential secretary office in charge of religion and multicultural affairs to hear voices from various religious groups.
The President thanked the religious leaders for their devotion and care for the people amid the Covid pandemic.
