President Moon Jae-in arrived in Saudi Arabia Tuesday for the start of a two-day official visit the second stop on his week-long tour to the Middle East and Africa.
Moon was greeted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the airport where an official welcome ceremony was held.
In the coming hours, they will meet for talks on bilateral cooperation in energy and construction, as well as in future industries, like AI, healthcare and the hydrogen economy.
He'll also attend a business forum on smart innovative growth.
President Moon's visit to Saudi Arabia is the first in seven years for a South Korean leader.
Riyadh is Seoul's biggest trade partner in the Middle East.
