Cyber Monday online sales drop 1.4% from last year to $10.7 billion, falling for first time ever Updated: 2021-12-01 06:46:05 KST

According to data released by Adobe Analytics on Tuesday, American consumers logging online for Cyber Monday deals, spent 10.7 billion US dollars, marking a 1.4 percent decrease from a year ago.
The latest tally marks the first time Adobe has reported a slowdown in spending on major shopping days.
However, Adobe says the entire holiday season will see record-breaking e-commerce activity, as shoppers are spreading their dollars out over more days.
In fact, from November 1st through Cyber Monday, Americans have spent 109.8 billion dollars online, up 11.9 percent on year.
Adobe expects online sales from November 1st to December 31st to hit 207 billion dollars, which would represent a record gain of 10-percent.
