Putin warns NATO against deploying weapons, troops to Ukraine Updated: 2021-12-01 06:05:32 KST

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned NATO that their deployment of weapons and troops to Ukraine, saying it represents a "red line" for Moscow and could trigger a strong response.
Speaking at an investment forum Tuesday, Putin also expressed concerns over NATO's drills near Ukraine's borders.
He said NATO's eastward expansion poses a threat to Russia's core security interests, adding the Western alliance could eventually use the Ukrainian territory to deploy missiles capable of reaching Moscow within minutes.
Putin also criticized the recent trilateral security alliance among the U.S., Australia, and the UK, but defended China's military buildup.
