U.S. President Joe Biden faced the cameras on Monday to receive his COVID-19 booster shot.
Prior to receiving the jab the president spoke of the importance of getting a first dose administered to as many people as possible.
This comes as the U.S. C.D.C. last week backed an additional third dose of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for Americans aged 65 or older Biden, being 78, was automatically eligible.
Others who qualify for the shots include those with pre-existing conditions, and those working at high-risk facilities.
And in a rare occurance the C.D.C. actually overuled its advisory panel as initial recommendations didn't include younger workers at high-risk facilities.
