S. Korean, U.S. officials discuss semiconductor, battery supply cooperation Updated: 2021-09-08 14:47:27 KST

Top South Korean and U.S. officials spoke over the phone on Wednesday about measures to follow up on the summit held between the two countries' leaders this past May.
Seoul's second Vice Foreign Minister, Choi Jong-moon, speaking to the new U.S. Undersecretary of State for economy, requested the U.S. government's support for Korean semiconductor and battery suppliers doing business in the U.S.
Fernandez, in turn, highlighted the need to expand America's partnership with South Korea on supply chain and infrastructure.
They have tentatively agreed to hold the 6th round of Senior Economic Dialogue this November in Korea.
