New daily COVID-19 cases in the U.S. recorded their biggest one-day jump on Saturday, fueled by the Delta variant.
According to the CDC, the number of COVID-19 cases increased by 101-thousand cases.
It's the first time the 100-thousand mark has been surpassed in the U.S. since early February.
The Delta variant breakthrough more than 250 fully vaccinated medical staff at two San Francisco hospitals.
Despite 58-percent of Americans 12 years and older being fully vaccinated, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says the U.S. will experience more "pain in the future".
