Fully-vaccinated military personnel in South Korea will be allowed on-base visits.
They'll also be excluded from two-week self-quarantine after returning from vacation.
The defense ministry says the new guidelines only become applicable two weeks after full vaccination.
On-base visits have been banned for about 16 months but were permitted if either the enlisted person or the visitor was fully vaccinated.
Starting from August, COVID-19 vaccinations will begin for those under 40.
Further details on the timetable will be released depending on vaccine supply.
