New infections in 300s for 2nd day, variants remain worry Updated: 2021-06-22 16:29:27 KST

South Korea on Tuesday reported new coronavirus cases in the 300s for a second straight day, in part due to fewer tests over the weekend.
There were 395 new cases and two more deaths,…r aising the death toll to 2,six.
And for a third day in a row, the number of imported cases was above 40.
There are concerns about letting in cases of the so-called Delta variant, first detected in India.
In total, South Korea has had 190 cases of the Delta variant, so it has not yet seen the kind of spike occuring in other countries.
Overall, South Korea has had about 22-hundred cases of variants of all kinds.
And under the new four-tier distancing scheme, the government is going to announce which regions of the country are under which tiers.
That's going to happen this coming Sunday, June 27th.
