Rescuers in South Korea have found the remains of a firefighter who was unable to escape from a warehouse that burned down in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do Province.
The remains of 52-year-old Kim Dong-shik were recovered on Saturday when the four-day fire was almost put out.
Kim had gone into the basement of the building as it burned on Thursday morning with four others to look for people caught in the fire.
The flames had been under control, but at that point flared up again, and officials say Kim stayed behind to make sure his colleagues got out.
When Kim didn't make it, a search began but had to be called off.
The warehouse belongs to the e-commerce giant Coupang, whose CEO has expressed his condolences.
President Moon Jae-in has also expressed his condolences to Kim's family, and the Province of Gyeonggi-do is planning to hold an official funeral for the late hero Monday morning, marking his sacrifice as a death in the line of duty.
