S. Korea, U.S. extend currency swap agreement until end of 2021 Updated: 2021-06-17 06:01:41 KST

South Korea and the U.S. have agreed to extend - by another three months - their 60 billion dollar currency swap agreement.
It means it'll run through the end of 2021.
The Bank of Korea said Thursday that the decision will contribute to further stabilizing the local foreign exchange and financial markets.
The deal was signed in March 2020 to relieve a liquidity crunch caused by the pandemic.
