COVID-19 vaccines administered in S. Korea effective against UK variant: Gov't Updated: 2021-06-15 15:20:14 KST

The COVID-19 vaccines currently being used in the country are effective against the UK, or the alpha, variant.
That's according to South Korea's health authorities today when asked why the UK was not on the list of countries from which vaccinated visitors will NOT be waived a mandatory two-week quarantine.
But, as they are still in the process of examining the effectiveness of the vaccines against the Indian, or the delta, variant, visitors from India will still need to quarantine.
