Death penalty sought for Atlanta suspect charged with killing 8 people, including 6 Asians Updated: 2021-05-12 13:31:20 KST

The man accused of killing eight people this past March at massage parlors in and near the U.S. city of Atlanta, including six women of Asian descent, could be facing the death penalty if he's convicted.
The prosecutor in charge of the case has filed notice that she will be seeking the death penalty and hate crime charges against the suspect, named Robert Aaron Long.
The prosecutor said this would be the first test of Georgia's new hate crime law in Fulton County, and she believes in the state.
