A car bombing and mortar attack outside a high school in the Afghan capital of Kabul has reportedly killed at least 55 people and wounded more than 150.
President Ashraf Ghani has blamed the attack on Taliban insurgents.
According to Reuters, citing Afghanistan's education ministry, most of the casualties were female students.
The ministry said the high school has both boys and girls, who study in shifts, and the attack was during the second shift, which is for girls.
No one has claimed responsibility, and the Taliban's spokesman has denied the group's involvement and condemned the attack.
