S. Korea posts current account surplus in March for 11th month in a row Updated: 2021-05-07 13:50:47 KST

Data show South Korea posted a current account surplus in March for an 11th month in a row.
The Bank of Korea says the surplus came to around seven.eight billion U.S. dollars, up about 32 percent on-year.
For the first quarter in total, South Korea recorded a surplus of nearly 23 billion dollars, up more than 76 percent.
This growth was largely led by exports, which jumped more than 18 percent on-year in March on strong shipments of automobiles and semiconductors.
