The top diplomats of South Korea, the U.S. and Japan will be meeting in the coming hours in London to discuss issues in the Pacific, including North Korea.
This is on the sides of the G7 meeting of foreign ministers.
It's expected that they'll be discussing the new U.S. policy on North Korea, now that the Biden administration has completed its review, as well as issues related to China.
It will be the first time that the South Korean foreign minister Chung Eui-yong has met with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi since taking office in February as ties became strained over historical issues and other matters.
According to Japan's Kyodo News, the two are unlikely to meet bilaterally.
