President Moon receives second AstraZeneca COVID-19 shot ahead of overseas trips Updated: 2021-04-30 13:52:50 KST

President Moon Jae-in has been given his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca.
Like his first one, he got a health check-up this morning beforehand.
Moon got his first dose on March 23rd in accordance with the health authorities' guidlines on "essential" foreign travel since President Moon has been invited to the G7 summit in the UK in June.
His second shot was given early because he's also going to Washington in late May for a summit with U.S. President Joe Biden.
The AstraZeneca vaccine requires a time frame of eight to twelve weeks, but the KDCA permits a four-week time frame in case of urgent overseas travel.
