South Korea's foreign minister Chung Eui-yong will be attending the G7 ministerial meeting in the UK next week.
South Korea is not a member of the G7, but it's been invited along with Australia, India and South Africa.
The foreign ministers are meeting to prepare for the G7 summit slated for June to which South Korea is also invited.
They are also expected to discuss issues related to vaccines, climate change and more.
Chung might bring up the issue of Japan's plan to discharge contaminated water from Fukushima into the ocean.
Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun reports that there will likely be a trilateral meeting there on the sidelines between the foreign ministers of Seoul, Washington and Tokyo.
And that would likely address issues related to North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.
