The South Korean government has lodged a stern protest against Japan's false territorial claim to Korea's easternmost Dokdo islets.
Just a short while ago, the foreign ministry summoned a senior diplomat from the Japanese embassy in Seoul.
It urged Tokyo to withdraw the claims, adding Dokdo is South Korea's historically, geographically and by international law.
Regarding the so-called "comfort women" issue, the ministry pressed Japan to demonstrate, through action, sincere reflection on its past as it has pledged to do.
On Tuesday, in its latest diplomatic bluebook, Japan repeated its false Dokdo claim.
It also reiterated Tokyo's previous stance that it's the responsibility of the South Korean government to compensate the Korean victims of Japan's wartime atrocities.
