U.S. to boost 'Do Not Travel' advisories to 80% of world, citing pandemic Updated: 2021-04-20 13:41:41 KST

The U.S. State Department says it's expanding its "Do Not Travel" guidance to approximately 80 percent of the countries in the world, calling the pandemic an "unprecedented risk to travelers."
The new list has not been released yet, but this would imply an additional 130 countries.
Right now there are 34 countries listed as "Do Not Travel," which is the highest level of the four-tier system.
South Korea is currently at level two "Increased Caution."
