South Korea reported 677 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, raising fears that the country has entered a fourth wave.
All but fifteen of those cases were locally transmitted, with the capital region accounting for more than 420 of them.
New cluster infections popped up at a music academy in Gyeonggi-do Province and a daycare center for senior citizens in Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
Extra cases stemming from the recent outbreak at a bar in Busan have also added to the nation's total tally, now nearing a hundred-ten-thousand.
The virus has claimed one more life, pushing the death toll up to one,765.
