S. Korea suspends AstraZeneca vaccination following concerns over blood clots Updated: 2021-04-08 09:57:42 KST

South Korean health authorities have temporarily postponed the AstraZeneca vaccination program for special education and daycare teachers, health teachers as well as daycare center nurses, which were to start today.
The move follows the European Medicines Agency's decision on the possible correlation between the jabs and blood clots.
Some 70-thousand special education instructors and teachers at kindergarten, elementary, middle and high schools were scheduled to receive their shots.
The authorities say the vaccination has also been suspended temporarily for people under 60.
