South Korea's foreign minister will visit China soon for talks with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.
Chung Eui-yong will meet him on Saturday in the city of Xiamen.
Top of the agenda are Korean peninsula affairs and bilateral issues.
They are also expected to discuss regional and global issues, at a time when the U.S. and China are locking horns.
It's the first trip to China by a South Korean foreign minister since 2017.
The visit follows Chung's talks with his American counterpart Antony Blinken two weeks ago, and with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov last week.
