U.S. Forces Korea will start giving COVID-19 vaccines to its personnel in South Korea as early as this week.
According to General Robert Abrams, the USFK will begin administering the Moderna vaccine over the next few days.
He added that initial inoculations will go to frontline health care workers and first responders.
They'll receive additional shipments for all eligible members as distribution picks up.
Abrams said he plans to take the vaccine, and asked all personnel to consider taking it as well, although it's up to each service-member whether they get it or not.
