To strengthen business cooperation between South Korea and the countries of ASEAN, a finance center is going to be set up next year in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.
Seoul's foreign ministry said Tuesday that it will be set up in the first half of the year under the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN.
The center will provide financial support to Korean companies doing business in ASEAN.
It will be a follow-up on what the countries' leaders agreed to at the ROK-ASEAN Commemorative Summit in 2019.
It's also part of South Korea's New Southern Policy, which aims to bolster its cooperation with ASEAN.
