Italy's total COVID-19 caseload has surpassed 600-thousand, after the country saw its single day jump of over 26-thousand.
It shattered the previous record set just a day earlier.
With the rising number of infections, several regions are now closing schools until November 24th.
Meanwhile, the Vatican says Pope Francis' General Audiences will once again be broadcast live, starting next Wednesday.
According to the church, the latest measures comes as it tries to avoid "possible future risk to the health of the participants."
