NATO says its military spending in 2020 grew for the sixth consecutive year, but only ten of its 30 member states are meeting this year's targeted defense expenditure.
These countries include the U.S., the UK, Romania and France.
In 2014, the allies agreed that all members should spend two percent of their GDP by 2024.
The U.S. led the 30 NATO nations in defense spending relative to GDP, with 3.87 percent.
The total spent on defense by NATO nations stood at around one trillion U.S. dollars this year, a 4.3 percent increase on-year.
