Trump says he expects enough COVID-19 vaccine doses for all Americans by April Updated: 2020-09-19 09:28:45 KST

U.S. President Donald Trump says he expects his country to manufacture enough COVID-19 vaccine doses for every American by next April.
Trump said on Friday that the U.S. will have manufactured at least one hundred million vaccine doses by the year's end.
He assured that once a vaccine is approved, widespread distribution of a vaccine will begin immediately, within 24 hours after notice.
But many U.S. media outlets are pointing out that such timeline is more ambitious than what pharmaceutical companies and top health experts forecast-- that most Americans will not be vaccinated until the mid-2021.
