Uber cuts 3,000 more jobs, shuts 45 offices during COVID-19 crunch Updated: 2020-05-19 07:05:36 KST

The American ride-hailing company Uber says it will be cutting three-thousand more jobs because of the COVID-19 pandemic, less than two weeks after its initial round of layoffs.
In an email to its employees Monday, Uber's CEO said the company will also be shutting or consolidating 45 of its offices around the world.
Uber's latest round of cuts come after it announced earlier this month that it will be laying off 37-hundred employees or 14-percent of its workforce.
